I am glad you had a great time in my country. If you ever happen to visit again, I recommend you to visit Fable Cafe and Bookshop (all English), Salted Books (all English), Bookshop Bivar (second-hand in English) and Colour Square if you have kids (it’s not a bookshop per se but have an amazing section of English books, even though the owners are a Portuguese mother and daughter).
thank you so much for reading! i had salted books and fable on the list but unfortunately didn’t have enough time! i will certainly save these recs for next trip, your country is so beautiful! thanks again 📚🇵🇹💗💗
Thanks for spotlighting this amazing bookstores! I’ve visited Lisbon several times and will definitely be back there in the near future; I’ve been to some of the stores you mentioned but now I have others to check-out. A great book that ties nicely to your travels is “The Devil on Her Tongue” by Linda Holeman. Very backlist title but one of my favorite books, I recommend it to anyone visiting (or who has visited) Portugal.
Oh i’m so glad you enjoyed it! Have not heard of that book but absolutely adding it to the list— thank u so much for the rec!! Lmk if you make it to any of these spots next time you’re in Lisbon 📚💗
Got a book at Bertrand’s yesterday to make you proud! Our friends went to Fable as Raquel recommended and loved it. 📚
